Harassment

Illinois criminal law describes Harassment as "intentional acts which can cause someone to be worried, anxious, or uncomfortable." Such actions may include making an obscene or indecent comment or request with the intent to offend, threaten, or annoy someone. Most first-offense harassment charges in Illinois are Class B misdemeanors, meaning the maximum penalty is up to 6 months in the county jail. Second-offense harassment charges in Illinois are generally Class A misdemeanors, which can be punished by up to a year in the county jail.#harassment,
